Whilst probably best known for being the party capital of the Balearic Islands, Ibiza can offer far more than just a legendary night out. If you want to escape the buzz of the main bar scene, take some time for yourself and disappear for a quieter day in the sun at Cala Xuclar, a real gem of a beach on the northern coast of the island. Still eager to let your hair down in real style? Hit Las Salinas for the ultimate party beach experience, enjoying a line-up of trendy bars and like-minded revellers with your toes in the sand.

Croatia

The rustic charm of Dubrovnik on the south coast of Croatia has long held an appeal with holidaymakers, and in recent times is perhaps just as famous for being the one of Game of Thrones’ most recognisable filming locations. However, there’s a lot more to dip your toe into if you venture out of the city. Sunji Beach on the island of Lopud is a must-see to include on any day trip boating around the Elaphiti Islands – the crystal-clear waters and views of the surrounding islands are well worth making the effort.

Portugal

The golden sands and epic cliff face surrounding Praia da Benagil in the Algarve are all you need for Portuguese beach bliss. Ideal for swimming, sunbathing, admiring the view or taking to a kayak to explore the breath-taking sea caves on offer along the coastline, this spot truly offers something for everyone. Italy

The island of Sardinia – a few hours’ ferry ride off the west coast of Italy – offers some of the most seductive beaches the Italy has to offer. A notable favourite among those on offer is Spiaggia di Tuerredda, where you can enjoy walking along soft white sand or relaxing under a parasol whilst taking in the gorgeous view of Isola di Tuerredda. France

The south of France has long been synonymous with the height of sophistication and the beautiful beaches in this part of the world are an essential part of the offering. If you’re spending a few days exploring the area no adventure is complete without a day trip to Villefranche-Sur-Mer, which is, at most, a short train ride away.
